Question about unlocked blackberry
Hi i live in Canada and bought a locked t-mobile bb 8200 pearl flip,i unlocked it online and i want to switch it to bell,do i need to use a sim card or can i go to bell and they hook it up like a regular phone or can i buy a bell sim card? and if i have to buy a bell sim card how much are they without a plan?

Head to Bell
The easiest thing is to head over the Bell store and ask what the options for activating the BB are. Then you can decide if you want to mess with trying to save a few bucks buying the sim card online, etc.
Also, you will quickly find out if your phones is even compatible with Bell or whether you need to head down the road to Rogers. |
What ever you do you will need a blackberry data plan to have all the features working.
Without it all you have is a standard cell phone. no data of any kind. |
Moved to 8200 section

Well i dont need bbm or anything like that i just want calling and texts and any idea why it wont call or text with a sim card in even though it recognises the sim card and finds the contacts and messages?

Bell operate a CDMA network, and a HSPA+ network (3G).
Only a CDMA or 3G enabled blackberry will work on their network. Your blackberry is neither and won't work on Bell. |
Ok,How about telus?
|
Telus is also a CDMA with 3G network.
You would need to go to Rogers. |
yes go to Mr. Rogers neighbor hood..in the future do research before you buy as it seems u really want to use Bell
