Incomplete Columns in BB Manager
When viewing BB Manger, you can select what columns of information you want on your users (column chooser). I've seen other posts where people have issue with the phone numbers not appearing, or the SIM being listed incorrectly.
I've essentially got the same issue. But it's random blanks within several of the columns. I've got about 80 users in my list. But I have a couple missing the model #, a few missing the SIM ID, and a lot missing the Active Carrier. Re-seating the SIM on the device seemed to help with a few blanks, but not enough. Any new information on this issue? (I really don't want to re-activate 20 users when they are fully functional.) thank you, Brian Blackberry Manager version 4.1.3.18 Device Manager 4.2.1.6 |
I see this too. It seems random. BES 4.1.5 did nothing to fix it.

I called RIM on an issue this morning where the activated date for a user (I use a SQL query to get that data) shows as 1/1/1970 for a bunch of users.
They said that is a known bug with 4.1.2/MR2, and that 4.1.4 is supposed to fix it - but only for newly activated devices. So, devices would have to re-activated to have the activated date updated. I *think* this would be the same for the fields that are missing information - the device would have to be reactivated after applying the latest SP. PITA. |
ezrunner,
try to guess what game its from. |
I've one user with a new 8120 showing no carrier, it did briefly after the EA but it doesn't any longer. I have updated the device.xml. Not a big issue for me but i was using that column to tell if the user was out of the country.

I've heard that if you delete the Desktop [SYNC] service book from the device, then undelete it, and then refresh the view on BES, the info will reappear.
Also heard that if you delete the Desktop [SYNC] service book from the device, then resend the service book from the BES, the info will eventually reappear. /SHRUG |
Where in BBmanager do you do that? OOPS on the phone LOL
I can resend the service book though... but wonder if activating via client desktop manager ahs anything to do with it. |

I resent the service book (with out deleting from device) and was able to get one user's active carrier back after some time.
Going to try some more. |
interesting. will try this.
|
Just tried 5 more and they got it back as well. Going for the rest to see if I can get em all back.
All but 3 now are showing. 2 are offline, WOOT! |
Glad to hear it works! Yay!
|
Very interesting, I had just about given up on this
|
How long did it take to get the information to repopulate?
|
hrm. i tried both methods. no information.
|
I had 52 users with no active network. Resent the service books to them and after 10-15 minutes I'm down to only 31 with no active network.
:shrugs: I don't really care what network they are on, but this is interesting :-) |
All but 2 came back and now 2 disappeared.
I will wait a bit to see if they come back. My first try only took 15 min or less to see the active network. |
oh, i'm trying to see the Phone Number :)
|
...however, deleting the service book and resending from the BES worked for one user. now only a few hundred to go. lol.
