Wireless Sync Problems

Hi,
We have currently deployed a Exchange BES Server Version 4.0 with 7290 handsets running v4.0 Software. Everything is working fine so far apart from the wireless calender sync, it only updates from outlook to BB handheld and not from handeheld to outlook. The wireless sync is enabled on Handhelds and also it shows as enabled in Blackberry Manager on our BES server. I have also checked the cdo.dll files and they are all the same version on our exchange server and our bes server. What makes this frustrating is that contacts update both ways its just the calender. Any ideas???????

Thanks in advance
Mic

In PIM Sync, is everything set to bidirectional?

MrMicP 07-20-2005 10:14 AM

Yeah, bi-directional is set on everything but there does not appear to be a option for calender bi-directional. Anything else i should be looking for??

There are a number of posts regarding this issue, do a search for more specifics on how people have solved it.

Having worked this problem myself though, another thing you should look at are the permissions for your BES service account within your Exchange environment. If you have multiple Exchange servers, confirm that the proper permissions are set on each and every server on which you have BB users.

Hi Mic,

Is it wireless sync for everything or is it a couple of the options that are sync'd wirelessly?

If just calendar, then make sure when you plug the BB into the desktop manager and go into Intellisync -> COnfigure PIM that it is set to Blackberry Wireless Sync.

If it is everything, then I am guessing that the exchange permissions are set incorrectly or there are some permissions on the Exchange Store that are blocking your BES admin account from gaining the proper access to it.

If you could confirm the above we can go forward from there.

What version of Exchange are you running and what OS?
