Sending SMS Picture text
Can this be done with the 8130? I have tried all morning with no luck. Thanks for the help.
I did a search and I could not find anything. |
Yes, that is called an "MMS" message (SMS+picture=MMS, Multimedia Message Service).
Who is your carrier? Your profile states 7100i on Nextel, and Nextel does not have the 8130. |
The easiest way to do it is....go to the picture, then press the menu kep and select "send as MMS".
That is only if your carrier permits it... Some carriers do not allow BB users to send MMS it doesn't appear as a menu option at all so it would depend on your carrier...
And in order for this to work you need a Blackberry data plan activated on the device.
I am guessing with you saying you have Nextel, you are on Sprint and Sprint does not support it.
I have actually upgraded to the 8130 and I have verizon now. I have not updated my profile yet.
I tried sending MMS, but it shows up on the other end as a web page. The other phone was also an 8130, but with sprint. per TDB looks like it is the other persons carrier that is the isssue. Thanks for the help. JP |
Does All Tell Offer This Via Blackberry
No, Alltel doesn't support MMS on the Blackberry. It does on the rest of it's phones.
Just wondering I've been trying to send a pic using MMS and it fails every time, I think it might be the file size, is there a way to reduce the size? I was using the Motorola Q before and you could just shot the image and send. Other people can send images to me..
