twice the screen resolution
1gb internal memory
twice the expandable memory (as the 8330)
twice as fast a processor
new OS

Cory Scheuer 05-12-2008 02:04 PM

lol i was just about to say... pretty much everything... the bold has everything the curve doesnt... sith you forgot the 3g part... along with the bold having it all in one, 3g, wifi, and gps...

i swear this is the "does it all" device

Sith_Apprentice 05-12-2008 02:05 PM

yeah 3G forgot that one, but i liked all the "twice as" references

Cory Scheuer 05-12-2008 02:08 PM

so do i lol... seriously it is... the curve 312mhz, the bold 624mhz... litterally twice as :P

Sith_Apprentice 05-12-2008 02:08 PM

i know, i was accurate in what i said

Cory Scheuer 05-12-2008 02:16 PM

it is... gotta love it... man i am pulling in all my favours to find out info on the bold... like release dates and such like that... i'm kinda pissed that rogers is going to be disabling the wifi for browsing, as its only going to be for UMA... stupid!!! so it looks like i will be taking a trip down to the states the date it gets released to an AT&T store...

whats the nearest AT&T store to vancouver canada?

ezrunner 05-12-2008 02:41 PM

I'm the first to admit that I haven't really been paying much attention to this but wasn't it supposed to have a touch screen? I know (I think) that wasn't the 9100. With the iPhone2 being discounted so heavily by ATT I wonder if they are a day late with this.

The 9000 was rumored to be the BB with a touchscreen. But it ended up being the glorious device in front of us, having said that there IS a touchscreen BB in the works. There just aren't any "hard" details yet.

Have thier been carriers annouced yet? I just bought the curve on Verizon, and they seem to get every phone last, do you think it will be the same this time also?

Cory Scheuer 05-12-2008 07:24 PM

umm no verizon will be one of the last to get it as its CDMA... no carriers have been announced yet but word on the street is AT&T will have it first, and maybe rogers in canada, and possibly vodafone in the UK.... but thats all rumours and speculation right now...

Hope I'm right on the $ with this one! Unbelievable build quality is what it really should have! Which the 8800 series and the Curve obviously did not! Plus a slew of other goodies like-

Sick screen revolution, a processor that is twice as fast (wow) 3G, that new OS that I can't wait to use and a slew of other goodies!

I really hope that RIM learned from some of there mistakes with the Curve! Like the dust under the screen problem (ugh) and the over all loose feeling that the Curve had the first couple of months it was out! Hopfully they went back to the build quality of old that ended with the 8700.

I wish RIM would of made the Bold the size of the Curve or smaller, not bigger.
