Just curious as to whether any of the BBF peeps ever use the BlackBerry Support Community Forums?

Yes, there are several who do. I visit once in a while.

Sith_Apprentice 07-15-2008 06:35 AM

I used to post there, but not so much anymore. RIM rarely (if ever) posts anything useful there. Its no better/worse than other forums.

I think it is worse ... I would hope that a forum hosted by RIM would have more regular support from their personnel; I think it is a fair expectation, even if they say RIM staff don't participate regularly.

Meh; that said, I visit every once in a while ...

I forgot about that forum. So I guess that answers the question

Forgot? Ha ha, I only *found* it today. Had a quick look round, then came back here.

Dawg 07-15-2008 08:41 AM

I dont even recall my log in name there. But I have seen regulars from here on there.

MrKyoo 07-15-2008 08:43 AM

When all of the valuable information is here then who needs to go elsewhere?

NickfromIL 07-15-2008 08:48 AM

I think it has a very poor layout, making it hard to find the information you need. I posted there a little at first, but haven't been back in a while.

That is still around? LOL

Their forums are OK, but I much prefer this one.

There's something about the Blackberry support site as a whole, I just don't like. The interface is horrible to navigate.

And . . . . the on line ticket submission has been broke for ever it seems. I've e-mailed both [email address], [email address] (didn't receive a reply from either), and called support to report it's broken.

OK sorry, rant over. ;-)

When they first started it, I was visiting it a couple times a week, now I don't even know if I'd remember my password to it. I just didn't see where it was useful, in my mind, BBF should be the official RIM support forum because this place has much more information and quicker response time then RIM's board.

Jadey 07-15-2008 04:08 PM

True audit. We need to mount a campaign for "officially the best BB support forum" for BBF

shuman 07-15-2008 06:20 PM

I agree, you will find m ore answers and faster response here than the BB support forum.

Never used it.....why visit the fleet when this sailor (bbf) satifies me;-)

knottyrope 07-15-2008 06:56 PM

I RIMS forums there to help out and learn of the issues that BES can bring, dont think I asked a question for my own assistance there.
I usually post here and wait a short time (except when WES was goin on).

I visit pinstack and blackberry boards, they dont have the traffic this forum has.

Only thing that I would like to see is better icons to see what post I posted to.
