Google Maps Voice Search works on Pearl w/4.5.0.97
 

Previously, Voice Search in Google Maps 2.3.1 wouldn't work on my VZW Pearl w/earlier versions of 4.5 OS.

Now, with 4.5.0.97 (beta release) it does work. I didn't remember to check w/4.5.0.89 (most recent 8130 OS formally released).

Just wanted to note this - whatever issue GMaps had w/Voice Search in earlier OS releases appears to be going, going, gone. :)

I can't get 2.3.1 to work with OS 4.5.0.89. I'm dl'ing 2.3.2 now.

2.3.2 works with .89. And it works well!

SWEEEETT!!! I use Google Maps frequently while driving and this new Voice searching will make you all a lot safer! :-)

I know you're trying to make us feel better, but the idea that you're using Google Maps while driving is simply scary...I hope you're only referring to it when stopped. :shock:

Did you know that if you have a BT GPS puck you can use VZNav with the puck w/out any charges from Verizon? A better way to go...as Homer would say "Mmmmm...voice prompts." ;)

i have google maps 2.3.2 loaded on bb bold.

i dont see "voice search" any where.

what am i missing?????
