Playing music from my car via Aux cable to BB Curve.
For a few months now I've been using the BT Stereo Gateway in my car to play music from my BB Curve threw my car. (I've gotten a VW Jetta with bo biult in BT, since it had Aux port I let it slide 8-) ) Although I have noticed a change in quality threw my car speakers.
So I plugged my Curve directly into the Aux port it plays fine but there's no real bass or anything I can feel.. Is this typically or is there anyway I can change this? I tried messing with the Equalizer settings but it's just a noticable difference (if anyway), and I didn't have that problem with the BT Stereo Gateway. |
No thoughts?
Anyone use their BlackBerry to play music in there car? I am thinking about trying other 3rd party apps (MuiTime, FlipSide, xPlayer) to try an increase the bass/treble/etc. |
Sometimes I do that with my ipod/blackberry - but the lack of bass is either from your system (3rd party decks will allow you to up the bass) or you will need a different music playing program for your BB that has bass equalizers that actually work.
ps. dexter rocks! |
Hmm, It might be my system. I'm gonna try plugging it directly into my home stereo system :) and I will definitly mess with some 3rd party apps.. Probably during or after the Holidays.
Happy ThanksGiving All! (Yea, The concept of Dexter is just great got hooked after watching a few episodes. 3rd season now and still going strong!) |
same here i use it sometimes when i forget my ipod at home and it works perfect!

I have a jetta and regularly play through the car stereo using the aux jack. You need to make sure that your volume is all the way up on your bb. I get plenty of bass but i do get a slight humming noise which im not fond of. I am playing it through a very cheap cable and this may be the problem, but i think your problem is your volume on your bb is not all the way up. I have the same problem with my ipod, sometimes i'll plug it in after listening to it through earbuds and it will be on half volume and the sound stinks.
My .02, hopefully this helps. jed in AZ |
