U went to options, browser config and set it up in that?and saved the settings?

To change it, open the browser, menu key, options, Browser Configuration, scroll down to Start Page. Change to what you want, and save.

marekcarey 12-17-2008 05:02 AM

there must be a way how to fix it, im totally lost

I ran into this when I updated to 4.5 and don't think I ever found a resolution. One thing you may want to try is to make sure all your browser options are set to "Internet Browser". Access options from the browser itself and make this change and there's also a browser selection under tools - options - Advanced - Browser Config. Make sure they're all set to Internet browser.

I ended up configuring my browser so it just opens to my Links page and I go from there.

Note that Browser->Options->Browser Configuration->Browser doesn't set anything. It just chooses which configuration page you're looking at/modifying. Each browser on the BB has its own config page.

To set the default browser you need to go to Browser->Options->General Properties->Default Browser.

when i choose default browser, all i have there is t-zones and no other option...:(((

You should still be able to change home page. Move the curser and then delete the page that's on there and re type in the new homepage and save

no, i cant:(

I seem to be having a very similar problem on my 8130 Pearl. I just upgraded to 4.5.0.89 and noticed that every time I start up the browser it goes to the BB home page. I am constantly changing the setting so that it either goes to Weather Underground or to the Bookmarks, and after the browser is closed and started back up again it loses those settings and is right back to having mobile.blackberry.com as the home page. WTF?!?

Now here is where it gets REALLY WEIRD...

After browsing to any site, I'll go into the Browser Configuration menu and everything is set just the way I want it. Weather Underground is my home page, and all other options are perfectly fine for me. It seems that once the browser is closed and started, the first time it launches back up it's set to Default or something.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? I had no issues like this when I was running 4.3.x.

From Browser>menu>options>Browser config>scroll down (from there you can either change your home page or totally remove it.

U don't need to click on something. Move the cursor when your on the home page then move the cursor over to .Com and hit the delete key to start getting rid of the text. Then you can retype in your home page.

marekcarey 01-09-2009 12:54 PM

i cant type anything there:(((

I have the same problem and it's really annoying. I'm based in the UK and my OS is version v4.2.2.209 (Platform 2.5.0.34). I get the feeling it's been hard-coded as part of the T-Mobile deal (n)
