BB Messenger resets
 
Why is it every time my BB curve turns off or download a new program and need to restart my BB messenger resets and has to send out a pin update confirmation.

Which OS are you running? (Might want to try a newer version.)

os v4.5.0.81 platform 2.7.0.78
is there one higer than that right now

Here a link to the sticky at the top of the forum pointing to the latest "official" OS for the 83xx, it might be from Rogers but an 8300 OS is and 8300 OS.

I did that yesterday and its tell me that the link you gave me is a older version so im good with the new one. unless there is somthing im missing

Where does it tell you the link I gave you is an older?

When you installed the OS in the link I gave you did you delete the vendor.xml?

If not do a search on your computer for "Vendor.xml" when you find it delete it. Then run the App loader, it should then prompt you to upgrade.

I think due to the fact im in canada im dont get the same link page.
If you look what i wrote in the link page you will see either the link is going to the wrong place which i doubt or due to my ip address im being promted to use a lower one.

Vendor has been deleted as well. im upgrading back to my orginal and will try again.
Also i cant even find that version on BB site where does it come from.

disregard all sorry i was using 8300 (TM)
not 8300 Curve (TM) Smartphone

my bad ill see if the messenger problem get fixed after that
