MPEG won't play

I have an MPEG recorded on my laptop that plays with Windows Media player and with VLC media player. I transferred it to my BB SD card and tried to play it. The Videos app says LOADING and then AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED ATTEMPTING TO PLAY MEDIA. Perhaps the built in media player is not very good? Does anyone have an idea how to troubleshoot this or perhaps a better media player? the file is a 30 minute tv show and is 1.5g.

Video format support: MPEG4 H.263, MPEG4 Part 2 Simple Profile, H.264 (encoding and decoding 30fps), WMV

Midnight:

Is there an app that would play regular MPEGs that were recorded from cable on a PC DVR? THey play in Windows Media player and VLC media player without conversion

Nope.
The media player is the media player.

I don't understand. Does that mean there are no apps that can be added to the BB Tour that would play videos that the built in player does not play?

I meant the media player is the only media player

Buy some PC based coversion software - They have it for ripping DVD's, etc. For my ipod I used a piece of software caleed DVD to ipod, but it converted many other formats to those supported by the devices.

Thanks. I assume you are saying convert mpg to wmv? I am guessing mp4 is an audio not video format?
