Turning Bluetooth on and off

is there an app that makes it easier to turn the bluetooth on and off? i know its not a huge issue but its just annoying to have to go through all of the options to get to the bluetooth menu. wouldnt it be great to have an app to turn the bluetooth ON or turn the bluetooth OFF?

is there such an app?

I simply go to the "Manage Connections" icon and uncheck the bluetooth. And check it back on to turn it on. Its pretty fast

I have my left-side convenience key set to open Manage Connections. Then I just check/uncheck the box for bluetooth.

There's the free app and you don't even have to download it. 8-)

fongaroos, take rambo47's advice. Turning off bluetooth when you're not talking is the #1 battery saver IMO, can increase battery life 3-fold. Actually, the Pearl I've had before the Tour was even more convenient: you can configure the convenience keys to automatically toggle bluetooth, so no need to even check/uncheck anything. Unfortunately, the Bold and Tour don't support that. Hope they will someday...

you can change the convenience keys to toggle bluetooth.. quickest way I know

Socialblackberry 08-25-2009 11:05 PM

you could just always leave it on, drains more battery though I suppose
