Problem Curve 8520

Hello,

I have a Curve 8520 from Vodafone and I like to use a Telfort sim in it. But when I put a Telfort sim in it it give no bars and only SOS. When I put the Vodafone sim in it it works.

When i type MEPD i get teh first menu when i type MEP2 it does nothing.

I called Vodafone and they told me it is simlocked.

So now my question what to do.

I'm emailing with a guy who has codes but he cant find mine.

Help.

Thanks.

you have to get it unlocked. that's the only way you can get your telfort sim to work on it. you'll probably have to pay for someone to unlock it.

I payed somebody for it but he cant find the code.. same as when i type MEPD (works) and after that MEP [alt+2] (don't get the window to enter the key)

Could it be that some Curves cant be unlocked?

First, please update your profile to reflect your current device. Your profile currently says you have a BB 9000.

Most can be unlocked AFAIK, unless it is perhaps a RIM pre-release device. Where did you get this device? Do all the BB services (email, BBM, etc.) work using the Vodafone SIM?

You need to contact a reputable firm which specializes in unlocking - Horizon Wireless Online, one of our Forum sponsors is the one I would recommend. If it can be unlocked , they should be able to give you a code. Don't know the price however.

If you paid for a code and couldn't get it, I hope you got your money back.

I will consult them..

My Model says 9000 because i use the 9000 as primary phone and also have a curve 8520.
I can get my money back from them it was only 24 dollar.

I got it from Vodafone a few days ago. All the service works on the phone when I use the vodafone sim in it.

Type in MEP4. It may just have a SP Lock not a NCK Lock.
