"Active Profile" no longer an option after picking a ringtone?

I specified a ringtone for a contact's SMS messages but now I don't need to have their message alerts sound different than any one else's. I want to reset their message alert to be the same generic one I use for all others, based on whatever custom profile I'm using (work vs. home...work is non-offensive and home has Cartman cussing, lol), but I can't get their ringtone setting back to "Active Profile" now that I've changed it to something else. How do I get "Active Profile" back as a setting for a ringtone or alert? Do I need to delete the contact and re-enter them as a new contact? Anyone? Bueller? |
Rim has some suggestions on corrupt profiles causing this issue. Worth a try reading and seeing if it works.

I found the answer on Crackberry. Sounds, custom alerts, then delete the contact from the custom alerts list. Resets all their ringtones to whatever you have set up as your standard.
