how do i get my bb8900 to notify me via flashing light to tell me that i have got mail or sms have had phone replaced under warranty

what OS are you running?

under 4.6, you need to go into inbox options and specifiy which accounts you want to appear in the inbox, then go to alerts / sound profiles and change as desired.

Try going to Options > Profiles (Ring Tones). Once you're there, press the menu key on whatever profile you're currently using and select "Edit". Then scroll down until you find "Messages [e-mail]". Click that and set "Repeat Notification:" to "LED Flashing".

I'm having this problem but only on quiet profile. On normal, when I get an email the light flashes like it should. On quiet profile it doesn't flash.

The settings for email alerts look identical on both profiles except where in quiet it has no sound or vibrate. Do I have to set it to vibrate or I won't even get the LED notification?
