T-Mobile USA - Extremely Slow Tethering Speeds?
 

I noticed recently that my 3G speeds have really picked up on my Blackberry 9700. Here are a couple screen shots of speed tests using the Opera browser:

Good speeds, right? So I wanted to see what kind of speed I got on my laptop if I tried to tether using the Desktop Manager IP Modem option. Here are the results:

Awful, right? What's up with that? I've heard rumors that T-Mobile is limiting tethering to EDGE speeds? Is that true? It kinda looks that way from the speed test results.

Anyone know how to get the full 3G speeds when tethering? Is there a way??
