desktop connection
 

my blackberry screen has gone all white but he phone is working.however i have to recover all my contact details etc so i connect it to the desktop but wen i connect it to the desktop it sends a password to my phone which i cannot see so i cannot backup my phone how do i get around this?

it does not use a new password. wait for a few minutes and simple enter the password on the BB and when DM asks enter it there. From that point you dont need to do anything on the BB just do a backup via DM to the PC.
