9850 rebooting issue

Last night I opened the Sprint football app and a message popped up asking to upgrade. I accepted but wished I didn't, my BB kept rebooting several times and I thought for sure it was toast. I pulled battery and plugged into desktop manager and fortunately I was able to reload software.

I was thinking good thing I back up my device on the regular with BB protect app, but come to find out you can't trust that. When I was back up and running I tried to reload the BB protect app and then it said my device isn't compatible with that, what a nightmare. Good thing I also backed up via desktop manager and my google account.

Word to the wise for all BB 7 users, don't trust those "over the air" back up apps. Always use destop manager as I will.

Excellent tip. I have my contacts/calendar synced to GMail but I also backup locally, just in case. You simply cannot backup too much.
