Tethering the 9810 with iBluever & PdaNet to iPad2
Hello,
I have been tethering my 9800 to my iPad2 using iBluever and PdaNet for a long time without any problems. I just updated to the 4G 9810 and I set it up the same in iBluever as my 9800 but its not connecting. The error message I receive is "Connect to Dial-up Networking Service Failed. Please make sure Dial-Up Networking and Bluetooth are both enabled on your device" Well, I have my Bluetooth enabled and it has paired to my iPad and PdaNet is active as my Dial-up. My iBluever settings are as follows Vendor: Research in Motion Model: Blackberry IP Modem (CDMA) APN: wap.cingular Account Name: blank Password: blank CID: 1> Dial Number: *99***1# DNS: Automatic Proxies: off Serial Port: Dial-up Networking Usage: off My data plan has not changed because I can tether from my laptop using Blackberry Desktop. If anyone else has a 4G BB and is tethering to iPad2, I would appreciate your successful settings or tips. Thanks allot |

I found the problem, I forgot to turn off the native Dial-up Networking service on the phone. I hope this post might help someone else out in the future.

Another P.S., this is how you disable the native Dial-up
To do so go to Options->Bluetooth, then bring up BlackBerry menu and select "Options". Now select "Yes" for "Discoverable" and scroll down untill you see "Dial-Up Networking", you must uncheck it. |
