Mac User Needs Help

I would appreciate If somebody would assist me.
I'm a Mac OSX user and need to get a Blackberry. I have no much idea of what to get as Blackberry and if it would be compatible with my OS X10.4.4 version.
Need to travel to Europe an Latin America and connectivity is a must!

Thanks for your help!
Cris

I have a 7105t (T-Mobile) and use pocketmac to sync up my contacts, calendar, and tasks since you can't use the desktop software as it does not run on macs. I'm running OSX 10.4.5 on a G5 imac, but I have no idea whether pocketmac works on the intelMacs.

Check out http://www.pocketmac.net/products/pm...rry/index.html for a list of the supported blackberrys, hope this helps

Make sure you get a GSM/GPRS BlackBerry. The 1x/CDMA Blackberries only work in North America and a few other areas around the World.

Cris,

Go to Cingular and get the new 8700c blackberry, then get on your mac and go to http://www.pocketmac.net/products/pm...rry/index.html

As a fellow forum member said go with a GSM (Cingular or T'Mo) Blackberry, as GSM is the standard in cellular technology and can be used in Europe, Latin America, and here in the US.

PocketMac under Rosetta?

jrusso, how did you get PocketMac working under Rosetta? What Mac OS X 10.4 version?

I've emailed PocketMac and they said I need to wait for the Intel update.

I'd really like to know if it will work under Rosetta on a MacBook Pro.

Thanks

Are you guys using PocketMac on a BlackBerry with a BES connection? The little notes and cautions on the PocketMac site make it look like working with a BES-actived BlackBerry is a real hassle.

That coupled with the horrid support I've (not) gotten from PocketMac in general, and the repeated 'loss of our support database' makes me very leery of using PocketMac BlackBerry....
