Pics of the 8707v

__________________________________________________ ______________ BlackBerry 8707v, First BlackBerry With Built-In 3G Modem READ MORE: BlackBerry, RIM, Smartphones http://gizmodo.com/images/blackberry8707v.jpg Our Crackberry-addicted readers in the UK will be happy to know that RIM and Vodafone will be launching the latest in the 8000 series over there very soon. Hip hip hurrah for Royal Britannia, etc. The BlackBerry 8707v has the same 320x240 colour LCD screen as the 8700, as well as the dedicated Send and End keys and programmable key on the left of the body. The feature that makes the 8707v important is that it’s the very first BlackBerry to ever come with a built-in 3G modem; its USB and Bluetooth connectivity will finally make it easy for laptops without PCMCIA slots to use 3G on the go. The 8707v operates quad-band, 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, making it usable in Europe, Asia and of course, North America. Five bucks says at least of our Wall Street readers will have asked their peons to pre-order this thing overseas before they finished reading this sentence. BlackBerry 8707v [Adam Phones, thanks Simon!]O... __________________________________________________ ______________ In my opinion that is one SEXY version of the 8700!!!!!!!!!!! |

So that has a cool new theme - kinda like a Pocket Day thing. And notice the front convenience key is now a Menu button...
|
I'm almost positive I will buy this provided it can be unlocked easily.

And here's a really nice, large shot of the today screen type app.
What's with the swirly, psychodelic look on the front and the top. That I'm not digging. http://www.airtimemanager.co.uk/i/Ph..._ENG_front.jpg |
Pretty good job of hiding the ear speakers for the phone
They also swapped the key color for less contrast, I would not be as happy with that. |
Cingular grey again(n) (n) (n)

That is a sweet looking phone, I would also consider it if it was easily unlockable.

IMO this is the shiz-nit. I have no complaints about the form factor. I like it a galizzion % better than anything Stateside. The Euros, IMO, know form factor. Please get them here

I really like the Today screen on this baby. I hope RIM provides it in future OS releases.

notice the small ridges on either side of screen? so it doesn't sit flat on screen when face down i guess. cool color and look.

ya the friend of mine that has the bb now knows a guy in manufacturing. the case fits like a charm, just remove a few screws and replace the whole thing. its like a one of a kind around here. i will talk to em asap and post some pics :P |
I bet the guts of the 8700 and 8707 are the same. There are rumors that the 8700 can do 3G but the software does not support it. It would be nice if we could load the software of the 8707 on the 8700 and get 3g :)
