What is the Latest Version of Desktop Manager?
 

I have a 7130e from Telus, but I installed the OS from Telstra as that was the newest version. I also received another 5 or so themes by installing Telstra, so I was more than happy about that.:smile:

However, I cannot seem to install the latest version of the Desktop Manager. I have tried about 4 times to install what I see as a newer version, but each time I check the Help/About, I always receive the following:

BlackBerry Desktop Manager
version 4.1.0.10 [September 14, 2005:-x

Surely there is a newer version out than 4.1.0.10. I have deleted the vendor.alx file, but it doesn't seem to matter. Does anyone know what I may be doing wrong in not being able to update Desktop Manager?

Running 4.1.1.9 [Feb 24 2006] here.

Outstanding!! (y) I had heard a few others mention this version, but in checking the RIM site, all I could find were a dizzying number of versions for all the various carriers, but none with the February 2006 date.

Can you help me out and provide a URL where I can download that version? :smile: When I finally do get it, is it just a matter of installing over top of my existing version, or should I uninstall my old version first?

Didn't the OP ask about Desktop Manager? Isn't 4.1.0.309 a version of the HANDHELD O/S??? Please read the post before answering.

Ah, that's the one. Thank you so much for your help. (y) I had already downloaded that version, but didn't realize 41112dteng.exe was actually v4.1.9. :oops:

I have had Palm and PPC's for years now, but this is my first try at the BB OS, and I must admit I find the learning curve a tad steep. Slowly though, and with help from Members like you, I'm beginning to iron out the wrinkles. :smile:
