How do I hit the # key???
 

Hello,

In order to remotely access my home voicemail, I need to be able to hit the # key. However, the automated operator doesn't recognize # when I hit :alt: q.

Does anyone know what I need to do to get the the program to recognize a # entry???

What happens when you don't hit the shift key?
 

When I'm accessing my voicemail, I think the Blackberry knows that # is more often used than Q, so I don't have to use the shift key to use #. I just press Q and it seems to work.:smile:

Just Press Q, no need to press shift. Only the silver buttons work in phone mode.

just a thought from a novice -- and i love alternatives :smile: --instructions fm bb say you can Press the ALT button plus the key to insert a symbol.
