Data Connection Refused

Ok, after uninstalling and reinstalling the software, I tried syncing but nothing would happen.

My Pearl says: Data Connection Refused and my log looks like this:

Anyone has an idea?

When you say uninstalling and reinstalling do you refer to the PocketMac application or the BlackBerry Operating System?

Failure to sync with PocketMac and the "Data Connection Refused" (DCR) are probably unrelated since the first relies on your BlackBerry-to-desktop connection and the second refers to your BlackBerry-to-network connection.

DCR is most commonly caused by: 1) an improperly programmed device 2) improper provisioning of your data features on your mobile account. The best advice here is to pop the battery, wait for 25 seconds, then reboot the device. If you still see DCR then phone your carrier's data team and ask them to check your account and device.

I'm unfamiliar with PocketMac so I can't really comment there.

Thanks markhutchison,

I meant uninstall and reinstall the PocketMac software. I'll try your advice and post on this post the results.

It worked the first time, albeit it deleted all my other categories in iCal for the whole year and never imported anything but the "home" ones.

Well, still doesn't work. I swapped my Pearl for another and I still have the same problem.

PocketMac just doesn't cut it with Pearl I believe.

Sounds like an issue with your data service - call your provider

Thanks, the Data Connection Refused was handled. That wasn't the problem. The syncing between the Pearl and 10.3.9, at least with my configuration still does not work and trashes iCal all the time no matter if set to overwrite device.
