I know a guy going through that exact same thing...

I know a guy going through that exact same thing right now. His was a 8700c to another 8700c and he got the same message about an "original" password. Nothing seems to work. I got him 10 more...

FYI, there is an article on BlackBerry (http://www.blackberry.com) Doc IDs: KB10339 and KB11145 that deal with this issue if you do a backup and want another shot at the password.
