I was also experiencing a sudden quick battery...
I was also experiencing a sudden quick battery drain after the upgrade to .148. I followed this problem in a couple discussion threads. Seems pretty random, some have the problem and others didn't....

Bad Battery Life on Storm
One application that potentially drains behind the scenes is Viigo. There are settings on how often it refreshes content, as well as whether is stays open behind the scenes when you navigate away...
