I come here (to Perth and Sydney) often, from Nevada, and have had no problems with Telstra on my 8700c. Flawless in fact. Yes Optus works too.

I agree! I had been looking for the right ring tone for years on a succession of phones. When I found 24 as a tone, my search ended. It simply sounds like a telephone should :-)
