i have tethered my ibook g3 to my 8320 running 4.5.69os on tmobile.

AND IT WORKS!

it is connected via usb
i am on tmobile with unlimited data plan
using the 'blackberry 8100' modem script...

tmobile us with unlimited blackberry data plan option
CONNECTED via bluetooth to desktop manager.
dial *99# for the number in the modem settings
extra modem init string...
