Finally, the answer is really quite simple! I uploaded the pix to Dropbox, whereupon they appeared instantly on my Mac:

Thanks, that's very helpful. I'm not sure what you mean by on the same line - my 8520 has an EE SIM card whereas the DTEK has a BT Mobile 750MB Plan SIM.

My Blackberry Curve 8520 picks up emails on my mobile phone network (EE) without the need to connect to wifi or mobile data.
