excellent help - worked on an 8520 that for some reason would not update - only thing i would add is dont bother with putting battery in - you dont have enough time to do that and plug usb cable in...

new user so forgive daft/stupid question

am in UK if that matters

have bought 2 blackberry's

8310 is on O2 with a data plan on 4.2 software [i think - not here to check]
