If I restore to factory setting does that not wipe everything off ?

I did it through my PC and BB Link, now the battery Is not holding a charge, do you think the device is corrupted.

I have updated my Z10 to the latest software and lost all my contacts.
It also wont let me add a contact, I have restored my last back up still no contacts.
What can I do ???

I have set up a chat with 2 contacts and want to add a picture, when I tap attach I only get the option to add a voice message ??
Also how do I add contacts to a group ?

Just changed to an 8900 from a pearl.To scroll up or down the page I used to use 1 or 9 what do I use to scroll the 8900.
