I have a similar situation like Saleh1111's. I am in UAE and have an Etisalat locked bb9900.
1. Would the unlock be possible
2. In case a future update comes for the OS, will the phone get locked...

Installed this yesterday and feel the battery is draining out faster in this version. Will have to use for a few more days to know the actual effect.
