Go to mobile.google.com from your bb internet browser and download the gmail app. it's pretty cool but it doesn't allow you to interact with other apps like you could with the mail app in the bb.

I have a t-mobile 8700g. Got it 2 weeks ago. Getting my emails fine. In fact I got one as I was typing.
When I got the phone it took a couple of hours to start working but hasn't stopped since.
