Yes it appears that RIM has given up on the PlayBook.
Acquired a Q10 on Tuesday, and one of the first apps added was Bridge. Loved how the PlayBook worked seamlessly with my e-mails, contacts etc...

From what I understand BB10 is based on QNX, the same operating system which the operating system for the PlayBook is based on. I should think that there should be no issue in making BB10 devices...
