hi there my bold 9700 has started to freeze

it freezes and i cant use my track pad but i can use the other buttons

i have tried the battery pull and it some times fixes it for a while but...

soz should have said i tried a different charger ,tried the usb cable , all do the same thing ,thats why i have narrowed it down battery or something different , if the phone is knackered i dont...

theres also a Red light flashing in and out when i have the black screen and the keypad stays lighted up if that helps

when using it its fine after a normal reboot until you stop using it ,just really browsing the phone tbh , then it just freezes after the phone has been sitting idle for about a couple of mins

To do this you will go to Options > Security Options > General Settings. Set the Password options to Enable. Also, set the Allow Outgoing Calls While Locked option...

i have done this and it still freezes, was going to do a factory reset

also the phone works till i stop using the buttons or tracking pad after a reatart

i want to do a wipe held reset

battery is brand new so bad battery has been ruled out ,took the battery out again and after the reboot its going to the main screen now , but its still freezing , ruled out battery now as i can see...
