Sometimes an app wont work on a newer version of an OS so keeping the old version may still fail.
All they seem to be doing is pushing out requirements to keep the flow of information from users...

apparently they don't think older OS's are cost worthy for them to support.
They will support the latest Android which indicates to me any phone could be obsolete with their attitude.
