Default Internal Antenna on 8310 Curve

Alrighty guys, ive noticed something about my curve that troubled me. For the past few weeks ive been using my old 8800 instead of the curve. Mainly because the curve was dropping calls.
Well, I couldnt figure it out for the life of me. I tried putting both devices next to each other. And for sure the 8800 got at least one more bar of tower.

Well, me being the "MacGyver" of my household, I tried something.

Aluminum foil tape. The real stuff, not the painted plastic.

I cut a small peice of tape, and applied it over the internal antenna on the bottom of the phone. figured it was worth a shot. And TADA! I get 4 bars.

And I know that something like this might not be proven scientifically, but I remember it working for the old broke rabbit ears I had as a kid.

Had to get the transformers to come in clear.

So, to all that have had signal issues. And are pretty competent about their devices. Its worth a shot.

Ive made several calls, and all are a lot clearer. The data speed has became a bit snappier. And NO its not my imagination...

Just thought I would share my thoughts. And the experience. If I get a chance this week, Ill post a pic or two, to give you an idea of what I did.
And BTW, I covered the entire antenna, under the mic, and filled almost the entire space. It even makes the antenna cover fit a little better...
