The touch screen on the Storm for typing anything was a joke.
I could not type a 5 word sentence with my Man Hands.
Nothing to do with SW or a Lag. It has a 600 MHz Processor.
This was in landscape mode with a full QWERTY keyboard.
In portrait it uses Suretype, which I hate on my Pearl. but it works.
Suretype with bad microsopic touch screen will be a disaster.

Full screen click is a really bad idea. You had to hunt for a letter, it highlights with a blue halo and then you click the whole screen. Problem is with your thumb you can't see the blue halo. Note in this video you fingers are not shown just the magically highlighted in blue letters.

www . facebook . com / blackberry has a Storm Demo Video.

I have a new Mac Book Pro and it has a full click trackpad to replace the mouse buttons. Hideous.

I also hate the OS 4.5+ wireframe icons. Let's use less detail and no 3D Icons like every GUI on the planet has.

Otherwise all the multi-media stuff is great and the screen is very nice. You just can't type on it with human fingers. But who needs messaging on a Blackberry?

No BB Storm's given out since it is not ready for prime time.
Cute PR girls were outsourced by a PR firm and not with Verizon or RIM.
Very friendly and let you play with da phones for a while.

Noone cared about the BB since the Fooz were in the house.

Check out vids from the event on youtube Even John Mayer was there.

Fooz Rocked hard for 1 hour. Superb Drum solo by Taylor Hawkins.
Encore was The Pretender. No Monkey Wrench or Darling Niki... WTF?

Only 600 of 800 showed up. You could have walked in no prob at 10:00pm,

Wicked to see the Fooz for Free. Great vibe and crowd was cool for LA.
If they had free Storms there would have been rioting.

Still buying a BB STORM since my Pearl 2yr on AT&T is up and I need 3G. But it will be hell to use unless they upgrade the software keyboard, Which is the whole point of a touchscreen. Custom keyboard for any function via a software upgrade. Maybe I will get french tips on my nails and be able to use the F'er.

BB Bold I tried in London was really bad and cheesy. Plastic leather backing and 880 style keyboard?

BB 8900 Javelin Curve replacement looks nice with an excellent keyboard vs. the Bold, but no 3G no deal.

Cheers,
