Hey guys! I am COMPLETELY new to the Blackberry scene. I've used Treos, Centros, Blackjacks, Vus, and a whole bunch of other stuff, but totally new to Blackberry, and now I have some questions if you don't mind! I've googled around and tried searching, but to no avail did I find any answers and what better place to ask then the forums dedicated to the wonderful device itself!

I have an 8820 which I love but I bought it off of Craigslist. Does this mean I still have to subscribe to a Blackberry Data Plan?

Also, if I use Wifi consistently, and I use third party apps like the Facebook app, would I be able to use those via Wifi?

How would I install third party apps? I'm sure I can figure it out on my own but I just wanted to make this topic worth reading lol. I connected it to my PC but it doesn't show up. :O
