What you are thinking about is Rogers Talkspot. I dont subscribe to it either, when im connected to wifi, it shows uma.
Sometimes when im connected to wifi and try to make a call i get a recorded message telling me the number im trying to dial is a local call. But it still goes through.
I havent seen any talk spot charges on my bill from rogers, so as far as im concerned theres nothing to worry about.
