Several years ago I spent time in the UK with an older cell phone. Cingular promised me that it would work, it didn't.

I now have a ATT 8220 BB and will be traveling to Australia with a stop in New Zealand in January. What do I need to do ahead of time to insure that it will work when I get there? Basically all I use is the phone and E-mail.
