My experience with Sprint is they won't do anything for a broken phone unless you have insurance. RIM claims all they do is manufacture the phone, they don't handle any repairs. I got one interesting reason, the carrier wants to make sure the phone is fixed correctly, right
IMNSHO RIM will be definitely loosing out when all their devices start breaking and the bad reviews come out that BBs are fun and functional, but have a self-destruct date.
