That's one way of looking at it, I had content protection enabled for a little while, but it interferes with BlackBerry Messenger, Media Player, and overall performance of locking/unlocking so I disabled it from mine, just didn't feel like the ends justified the means.

Also with Content Protection Enabled you can enable memory cleaning and it won't disabled itself after a battery pull, that will clear the certain key stores and etc.
