I am hoping the price comes down on the Curve at some point after next fall, my wife's contract will be up and she would use my flip if I picked up the curve. I think a good rule of thumb with any phone is to avoide dropping it--I only dropped my Shadow a couple of times, but that was enough to jar the slider loose which ultimately led to its demise. At least thats my goal--I don't know how much protection the rubber offers though...
Thats a good real of thumb with any phone but the hinge on mines is loose and it has not taken major drops at all. But, I do think I just did not get a good model. Before I dropped mines I had numerous errors.
