Yes, I run a Verizon 9530 on T-Mobile with BES. I have loaded the newest OS from Verizon as well and I still drop EDGE sometimes. The best way in my experience is to change the APN to ecp.tmobile.com and change your browser settings to use Internet browser vs Blackberry browser as default.
However, you can't change the default WAP browser as that stays on TMOBILE. This should help you keep a more steady EDGE while browsing the web, there will still be issues with certain apps that try to pick up network configurations and will fail and cause your EDGE to go to edge or GSM. To get the EDGE connection back, just turn off your network connection and turn it back on or do a cold reboot.
