It doesn't necessarily take the blackberry in liquid or liquid splasing on the blackberry to cause moisture problems. Sweaty pocket, even, has been reported to cause issues. If the moisture indicator has changed color, the blackberry has been exposed to moisture in some way. See Got Your BlackBerry Wet? - BlackBerryFAQ. That is probably the most likely cause of your problem considering the indicator.
