Yep. So I jumped in and took a BB plan. Got all the icons and then I was able to download an old BBM 1.x for 4.1. It works superbly.
Also, I got a cheap BlackBerry 8100 for Rs. 3,600 ($80). Cheap by indian standards! This one is kick ass! I had reviewed it back in the day...
