Give me some more time to figure things out. I doubt the Japanese input files are being restricted unless you have the correct sfi files. Since most of the 9500-series BlackBerry is the Storm-branded ones so they mostly run on CDMA here in the US. I am sure there is a way to enable the Japanese input languages.

As I said ... I can see if has changed when I have more time to play with the files next week.
