The front page of this morning's business section of the Globe & Mail also reported on the tablet and new operating sustem. I found the note on the new operating system more noteworthy. It looks like OS 6 may be obsolete before it has been out there for long. (In fact only a few devices, those 9800s from AT&T have it. The 9800, as far as I am aware are not available from any other carrier. Bell and Telus, and possibly Rogers in Canada, have postponed there previously announced Sept 24 launch of the 9800.)
Hope that recent Blackberrys such as the 9700 and 9800 will be able to run the new OS from QNX.
Glad to hear that QNX writes "gold standard" software. I was worried that RIM in a bid to compete against Apple in the consumer market, abandoned the business and government market, which currently relys on the security offered by the current RIM OS, that Apple and Android cannot touch.
