Only 6 days of emails loading

When I go through the Enterprise Activation process, only two dozen emails are loading (stops at Jan 26th) even though the user has 170 or so emails in his inbox going back until October. I've done a wipe handheld on his 9930 and deleted/recreated his account in BES. No issues with other users. Any suggestions on what to look for either on the device or BES? Thanks in advance.
